Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE)
As a major role player in the South African economy, Avusa is committed to operate in a business environment that is all inclusive and fully reflective of the country’s demographics, with a dynamic organisational culture that fully embraces workplace diversity.
Avusa was independently assessed as a Level 4 contributor, with a B-BBEE recognition level of 100%.
The group scored well in the human capital elements as a result of sound and focused human resources policies in place, with a significant number of black people as well as black females represented in all levels of junior, middle and senior management. Maximum points were obtained in the areas of Enterprise Development as well as Socio-Economic Development.
Improvements and challenges will be addressed progressively in a 5- year Strategic Transformation Framework which will be developed in line with the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice.
